Winter Skin Care Importance

Winter time in the East is finally here.  For some it's the favorite season of the year.  Regardless to if you love winter or hate it (like me), there are some things you need to be aware of to nourish and protect your skin from the harsh temperatures.

Do you have normal, oily, sensitive or dry skin?  Guess what? It doesn't matter.  You must still remember to adequately care for your skin during the winter season. You just have to be especially diligent if your skin tends to be dry.

So, why is it that your winter skin care routine should be any different from your summer or fall routines?

For one, you will more than likely spend more time indoors where temperatures are elevated to counteract the effects of the outdoor cold.  This can have a de-nourishing and dehydrating effect on the skin.  Secondly, when going outdoors your skin needs to be protected from the elements.
