Pampering is Under Rated

So you've probably heard the resounding theme.."New Year New You."  What does that entail exactly?  I was thinking of how most of the time I neglect to do anything for myself.  Forget about pampering. I'm usually so busy working or doing things for everybody else that I fail to treat myself.  Do you know what I mean?

Maybe you are the same way and you neglect to get pampered.  Well, I'm here to tell you that pampering is under rated.
So many times us moms, wives, and girlfriends fail to pay ourselves that we need...no deserve.

Definition of Pamper (not the kind you put on a baby's bottom) : To treat with extreme indulgence; to coddle; to treat or gratify with extreme care

Now don't you think that after a long day...no a typical day, you deserve some extreme care?  some indulgence?  Think about it.  A typical day serving others:
  • Cooking
  • Cleaning
  • Getting kids ready and off to school
  • Getting your man ready and off to work
  • Doing Laundry
  • Traveling to work and dealing with rude drivers or riders
  • Working hard all day for people who could care less if you are stressed
  • Coming home to take care of everyone but YOU!  You're lucky if you get 5 minutes to yourself before all the demands begin
Yes, I say pamper is Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay under rated.  You can probably add  a lot more to this list that will piss you off enough to make you take some time out to do something really nice for yourself like:
  • Get a spa treatment (massage, manicure, pedicure etc.)
  • Take yourself out to dinner and buy yourself something nice that you enjoy
  • Create your own home spa and pamper your feet, hands or nails
No ladies.  There's no excuse for not pampering yourself. I just gave you some pampering tips to get you started and if you will notice, the price range can vary based on your budget.  Now make sure you get some pampering! It's important.  Especially, if you are going to keep your sanity!

Valentine's Day is coming soon.  You may not be happy with what you get so do it for yourself.

Stay tuned for a little something I am putting together so you can pamper yourself all by yourself...

Massage is something I routinely do anyway. It's so healing and rejuvenating for the body and spirit. But you are so right, we neglect ourselves too much and something I like to do often is take a hot bath filled with dead sea salts, epsom salts, and essential oils. Top that off with a cold glass of water and a nice glass of wine....you're set!
