Fight Wrinkles and Increase Your Skin's Radiance

I was reading my usual email tips from Self.com and came across some informative tips to help you fight wrinkles, increase your skin's radiance and even out your skin tone. I am actually quite proud and confident with the product line I offer, Blended Naturals as our facial product line contains the very ingredients to accomplish these tasks.

To fight wrinkles, Peptides are your friend. Peptides are amino acids that stimulate collagen production which minimize fine lines. AHAs also work beneath the surface, and increase collagen and elastin synthesis. Blended Naturals Dead Sea Mineral AHA Night Time Facial Peel and Dead Sea Mineral Under Eye Serum work really well and contains Cell-Ox2, an advanced natural source peptide, that has been developed specifically to address the conditions of dark circles and puffiness in the eye area.

In-vivo tests have confirmed visible results after only 4 weeks. Cell-Ox2 Phyto Peptide®:
• Improves micro-circulation.
• Protects the integrity of collagen and elastin
• Reduces the effects that free radicals have upon the skin

Our customers are amazed at the effectiveness of our Mineral Under Eye Serum, as it is priced comparably.

To increase your skin's radiance, it's important to exfoliate. I talked about this in a previous post but it bears repeating. When you are searching for a quality exfoliator, one expert from Miami's Cosmetic Medicine and Research Institute. said, "Look for small granules; soft particles may not exfoliate well enough, and large, jagged edges can create tiny tears." Blended Naturals has a Dead Sea Mineral Brown Sugar Scrub that also forms a facial mask to decongest your pores. The granules of the sugar scrub are just right. Not too small or too large. I use this product regularly for smooth skin.

Gentle skin lighteners composed of certain amino acids and vitamin B help to block the formation of melanin which darkens the skin. Amino acids also help moisturize and condition the skin.

New Mineral Skin Care Line on You Tube

So, You Tube is the thing these days so I figure if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Yesterday my husband, son and I were working on my You Tube video to introduce Blended Naturals, a new mineral skin care line.

I have new respect for actors and actresses. While, I am not putting on act to introduce this skin care line per say, I still need to make the video interesting enough so that people will want to watch it. Well, well, I have rolled tape at least 7 times and then the battery to the video camera died LOL. This made me think, since I'm have a spa party in a few weeks, perhaps I can do a bloopers reel for this video to show at the spa party.

Stay tuned for a link to this new introduction to my new line of skin care video in the coming days.

Soften Your Skin by Changing 5 Habits

Every woman wants pretty skin, healthy skin, softer skin. What if I told you that there are 5 habits you can change that will get you well on the path to having softer skin?

Many women focus on the obvious: Nice hair and make up, a fly get-up (outfit) and let's not forget a pair of slammin' shoes and accessories to boot. But what about the part of you that may not seem as important just looking at it or after you take off the make up? Not everyone has a problem with skin conditions such as acne but does that mean that your skin is soft and healthy?

Here are 5 Habits you can change TODAY to get you on the path of Softer Skin:

1- Neglecting Water. It's been emphasized by many and is worth repeating. If you are not drinking enough water and moisturizing your skin, you are starving your skin of the moisture it needs to be soft and supple. Starting today, make it your business to drink one glass of water every hour. Set your clock if you need to. But, it doesn't stop there. Spritz your face with distilled water a couple of times of day. Now, I'm not saying soak it. To spritz means to lightly mist. This is to be done preferably indoors during the colder months.

2- Towel Drying Skin. When washing your skin, instead of toweling off, let your skin air dry and moisturize with a natural moisturizer that seals in moisture. Check out
Organic Whipped Body Cream.

3- Smoking. If you smoke, stop it. I know that sounds easier said than done and I don't mean to sound harsh. I have never experienced being addicted to nicotine so I'm not attempting to pass judgment. However, consider this: Smoking causes your skin to age faster because the tiny vessels in the epidermis of the skin begin to narrow, decreasing the blood flow which eventually leads to oxygen depletion. When you smoke, you are literally depriving your skin of the oxygen it needs and accelerating the aging process.

4- Not Exfoliating. Exfoliating removes the dead skin cells that sit on the top of healthy skin. Skin cell turn around is approximately 3-5 days. By exfoliating with a gentle facial scrub, you will remove those dead skin cells, giving you healthy, softer skin. So, make sure to exfoliate a minimum of twice per week.

5- Wearing Talc based Make up. Most make up for the exception of Natural Mineral Make up contains talc. While the jury is out on the safety of talc, it does however cause your skin to dry out. Therefore avoid make up with talc in it. Natural Mineral Make up is much kinder and gentler on the skin.

Here's to Softer Skin. Take the Journey!

You are what you eat

Ok so that's a popular cliche but 'You are what you eat' should also connect with 'Your skin reflects what you eat.' Yes, some will say that drinking soda and eating pizza doesn't cause break outs ya da yada. I'm not a cosmetologist or a dermatologist. What I do know is when I stop eating those types of food and begin to drink more WATER, the breakouts disappear. Call it a coincidence? I think not.

Of course, my opinion is squat in the world of dermatology but I still believe that your skin reflects what's going on in the inside of you. If you put junk in, you get junk out. Simple. My opinion.

As a matter of fact, I want to prove it so bad that I'm going to do something. I've been eating crap since the holidays and my skin is not in it's finest shape. I want to do a little test to see if I'm right. If I'm not, back to pizza and soda lol. Seriously, For one month, I'm going to give it all up. I'm going to post the before and after pics. I'll take my before pic on February 7th. I have a few events going on for which I know I'll eat the wrong things. Beginning February 8th, I'm going to give up the junk food, drink nothing but water and eat right for 30 days and then I'm going to take an after pic and post them both on March 8th. I may even do a few up date posts in between.

So, here's the plan. I'm going to use all natural skin care products to care for my external self (which I'm already doing) but I'm going to kick ALL inner junk to the curb. That means no junk food or garbage food in for 30 days. Wish me well. This aint easy for me!

Stay tuned!

The Importance of a Daily Skin Care Regimen

Skin care is something that sometimes gets put on the back burner. However, did you know that neglecting your skin care regimen can affect your health? That's right. It may seem like a small thing but consider this: If you don't properly cleanse your skin, you can be subject to infections of the skin. If you don't properly moisturize your skin, you will suffer from dry itchy skin and maybe even develop skin conditions.

People who have skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis need to be extra careful not to neglect a regular skin care regimen.

A proper skin care regimen can consist of cleansing and moisturizing amongst other things. It's also important to use the right skin care products. I whole heartedly believe in skin care products formulated with minerals from the Dead Sea. The minerals in the dead sea promote optimal moisture in the skin as well contain a score of vitamins and minerals that people are lacking.

Eating improper foods can also affect the skin so it's important to treat that "outer part" of your being with care. Caring for your facial skin should be different from your body skin. Obtaining the right products is crucial to a healthy skin care regimen. Check out this site for some great Dead Sea Skin Care Products that I use myself: http://freshradiantskin.com

I am a person who gets chronically dry hands. I can moisturize in the morning and by the afternoon, my skin is ashy. When I began using dead sea mineral skin care products, that changed. I no longer have to be ashamed of my hands looking white because when I use the hand cream (you can purchase on the site mentioned), my hands stay moisturized and soft through the day.
